PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a rotor, capable of effectively manufacturing a rotor including a rare earth magnet capable of suppressing eddy current loss.
SOLUTION : A manufacturing method of a rotor includes : a first step of, when a plurality of sintered bodies 1, 2 of precursors of a plurality of divided magnets 4, 5 constituting one rare earth magnet are arranged in a cavity C of a mold M to be housed, coating an insulating lubricant 3 on an interface of at least one of the sintered bodies 1, 2 adjacent to each other to arrange each of the sintered bodies 1, 2; a second step of forming the divided magnets 4, 5 from the sintered bodies 1, 2, respectively, by subjecting the plurality of sintered bodes 1, 2 arranged in the cavity C to hot plasticity processing that imparts magnetic anisotropy and manufacturing an integrated magnet 6 in which a plurality of the divided magnets 4, 5 are integrated via the lubricant 3; and a third step of inserting the integrated magnet 6 into a slot S for a magnet of a rotor R to manufacture a rotor, the rotor constituting a motor.
