PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode material for an SOFC, capable of improving performance and reliability of electrodes, such as an air electrode, of a low-temperature (for example, about 600°C-700°C) operation type SOFC.
SOLUTION : The present invention provides an electrode material used for forming an electrode of a solid oxide fuel cell. The electrode material contains a first oxide represented by general formula : ReAe1Co2-xMxO5+δ, and a second oxide having a perovskite crystal structure and having oxygen ion-electron mixed conductivity. In the general formula, Re represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of Pr, Sm, Gd, and Nd, Ae1 represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ba, Sr, and Ca, M represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of transition metal elements, x satisfies 0≤x<2, and δ is a value determined to satisfy a charge neutral condition.
