PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To emit light with a narrow linewidth at a plurality of wavelengths.
SOLUTION : A rare-earth doped fiber 20 amplifies light of a light source 10. A first polarization inversion structure 32 converts the first wavelength light and second wavelength light emitted from the rare-earth doped fiber 20, and emits first conversion light, which is sum frequency light of the first wavelength light and the second wavelength light. A second polarization inversion structure 42 converts the first conversion light, and emits second conversion light having the same wavelength as the first wavelength and third conversion light having the same wavelength as the second wavelength. A fiber coupler 50 branches light containing the second conversion light and the third conversion light into feedback light and outgoing light. The feedback light is made incident on the rare-earth doped fiber 20.
