PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a photochromic material that has practicability as a photochromic material and performs color development other than pink.SOLUTION : A photochromic material comprises an oxide crystal having a Ruddlesden-Popper type perovskite structure containing a rare earth ion and is colored by irradiation with ultraviolet. Two different color states can be reversibly changed by irradiating the colored photochromic material with visible light.
