PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a positive electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery capable of reducing the waste loss, and a method of producing the same, and to provide a positive electrode for lithium ion secondary battery containing the positive electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery, and a lithium ion secondary battery.
SOLUTION : A positive electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery where the surface of inorganic particles represented by general formula LiFexMn1-x-yMyPO4(0.05≤x≤1.0, 0≤y≤0.14, where M is at least one kind selected from Mg, Ca, Co, Sr, Ba, Ti, Zn, B, Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge and rare earth elements) is coated with a carbonaceous coating, and having a specific surface area of 6-20 m2/g, a lightness L*of 0-40, and a saturation C*of 0-3.5.
