PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnet member having corrosion resistance and high hardness. SOLUTION : A magnet member 2 comprises : a rare earth magnet 4 containing a rare earth element, a transition metal element, and a boron; a first film 6 containing nickel and phosphorous and covering the rare earth magnet 4; and a second film 8 containing nickel and covering the first film 6. The first film 6 is amorphous, and the second film 8 is crystalline. The sum of thickness 6a of the first film and thickness 8a of the second film is less than 10 μm.
