PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a permanent magnet having improved magnetic performance by heating a pulverized magnetic powder to recycle the surface of magnet particles, and to provide a method for manufacturing the permanent magnet. SOLUTION : The coarsely pulverized magnetic powder 31 is pulverized with a bead mill in a solvent together with an organic metal compound equivalent to M-(OR)x (wherein M contains at least one kind of Nd, Pr, Dy and Tb as rare earth elements, R is any one from among 2-6C alkyl groups and may be a straight chain or a branched chain, and x is an arbitrary integer), and the organic metal compound is uniformly deposited to the surface of the magnetic particles. After that, the dried magnetic powder 43 is maintained for several hours at 600-1, 000°C in a low-oxygen atmosphere, thereby recycling each of the magnetic particles forming the magnetic power 43. Further, the recycled magnetic powder 44 is baked at 800-1, 180°C, thereby a permanent magnet 1 is manufactured. COPYRIGHT : (C)2012, JPO&INPIT
