PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a scintillator material high in transmittance of scintillate light, having an emission wavelength capable of photoelectric conversion with an Si photodiode, having a short decay time, capable of producing by heat treatment at 1, 800°C or less, and suppressed in a production cost. SOLUTION : The scintillator material comprises a light-transmissive ceramic containing a complex oxide represented by following formula (1) : (TbxR1-x-yCey)2B2O7 (1) as a principal constituent, or a single crystal of the complex oxide represented by the formula (1), where x is within a range of less than 0.2, y is within a range of not less than 0.00001 and not greater than 0.015, x≥2y, x+y≤1, R is at least one rare earth element selected from the group consisting of Y, Gd, Lu, La, Ho, Tm, Eu, Dy, and Pr, and B is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ti, Sn, Hf, Si, Ge, and Zr (excluding the case that, for each of Si and Ge, the element is alone).
