Disclosed are a rare earth magnet and a motor having the same. The rare earth magnet is an R-Fe-B based magnet, wherein R is one or more from rare earth elements containing Y. A plating layer containing Co elements is formed on a surface of the rare earth magnet through an electroplating method. As such, the present invention improves the magnetic properties of the rare earth magnet, and improves a performance of reduction of the magnetic properties in a high temperature.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
