PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a scintillator material high in transmittance of a scintillate light, having an emission wavelength capable of photoelectric conversion by an Si photodiode, extremely shorter decay time than an europium active form scintillator material, sufficient high density, capable of manufacturing composite oxide having relatively simple composition by a heat treatment at relatively low temperature and low in manufacturing cost.SOLUTION : There is provided a scintillator material consisting of translucent ceramic containing rare earth oxides represented by the formula (1) as a main component or a monocrystal of rare earth oxides represented by the formula (1). (TbRCe)O(1), where x is in a range of 0.2 to 0.6, y is in the range of 0.00001 to 0.01, R is at least one rare earth element selected from a group consisting of yttrium, lutetium, gadolinium, holmium, scandium, ytterbium, thulium, europium and dysprosium, the case of single gadolinium is excluded.
