[Problem] To provide : a cell that makes it possible to reduce or eliminate the use of rare earth elements in a support body and minimize cracks and the like in a solid electrolyte layer; a cell stack; a module; and a module accommodation device. [Solution] A cell in which a fuel electrode layer (3), a solid electrolyte layer (4), and an oxygen electrode layer (6) are stacked in this order on a support body (1). The total of elemental Ni and a composite oxide that comprises Ni and at least one of Al, Cr, Ti, Ba, Sr, and Fe constitutes the principal component of the support body (1). The fuel electrode layer (3) comprises Ni and ZrO2 that contains a rare earth element oxide. The solid electrolyte layer (4) is a ZrO2 sintered body that contains an oxide of a rare earth element.
