PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a novel deep ultraviolet emission material.SOLUTION : A deep ultraviolet emission material comprises oxides of lanthanum and gallium represented by chemical formula (La1-xRx) GaO3, where R is a rare earth element such as yttria, neodymium, praseodymium, x is a content of the rare earth element, satisfying the relationship 0≤x≤1.
