The present invention relates to a fuel cell stack having a self-heating cell and, more specifically, to a fuel cell stack for preventing performance reduction due to the decrease of temperature of both end portions of a stack when normal driving and improving a starting performance when cold-starting by equally increasing and maintaining the internal temperature of the stack. The fuel cell stack is configured as a plurality of unit cells including electrode film assembly composed of an electrolyte membrane innermostly arranged and catalyst layers formed on both sides of the electrolyte membrane, are laminated. One or more self-heating cells are arranged in the both end portions of the stack, and the electrolyte membrane is formed thicker in comparison with a normal cell of a central portion of the stack. The catalyst layer is formed with the fewer amount of catalysts.
