PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnetic material having excellent magnetic characteristics; and provide a manufacturing method of the magnetic material.SOLUTION : Provided is a magnetic material containing rare-earth RE and Fe, which includes a crystalline phase including a soft magnetic phase composed of at least one of an Fe3 N phase and an Fe phase, and a ferromagnetic phase composed of a RE2Fe14 Nx(x=0.5-3) phase. Provided is a manufacturing method of a magnetic material containing rare-earth RE and Fe, which includes a preparation process of preparing a RE2Fe17 alloy including an amorphous RE2Fe17 phase or a crystalline RE2Fe17 phase with an average crystal grain diameter of 50 nm or less; and a nitriding process of performing a nitriding treatment on the RE2Fe17 alloy by heating the RE2Fe17 alloy in an N-containing atmosphere while applying a magnetic field of over 1T.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 1COPYRIGHT : (C)2016, JPO&INPIT
