The present invention relates to a superhydrophobic coating material and a method for manufacturing the superhydrophobic coating material. The superhydrophobic coating material according to the present invention includes : a substrate comprising a three-dimensional nano structure; and a coating layer which is formed on the three-dimensional nano structure, and includes a rare earth metal oxide. The method for manufacturing the superhydrophobic coating material according to the present invention includes : a step of preparing the substrate comprising the three-dimensional nano structure; and a step of forming the coating layer including the rareearth metal oxide on the three-dimensional nano structure by supplying a precursor including a rare earth metal and an oxidizing agent on the substrate sequentially. The step of forming the coating layer forms the coating layer having superhydrophobicity, by adjusting the temperature of the substrate so that atom ratio of carbon in the coating layer becomes less than 1%.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
