PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a sealing film for a solar battery and a solar battery in which resin particles formed of acrylic resin containing organic rare earth complex are contained as wavelength conversion material and an effect of enhancing the power generation efficiency of the solar battery can be kept for a long term. SOLUTION : A sealing film contains resin material containing olefin (co-)polymer and wavelength conversion material. The wavelength conversion material contains resin particles formed of acrylic resin including organic rare earth complex. The acrylic resin is polymer obtained by reacting components for acrylic resin containing (meta) acrylate monomer, crosslinking agent and azo-type polymerization initiator. The crosslinking agent contains azo-type polymerization initiator, and does not substantially contain organic peroxide having a group represented by R-C(=O)O- (R represents a carbon hydrocarbon group which may be arbitrarily substituted), but contains organic peroxide whose half-life temperature per minute is not more than 145°C.
