PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric ceramic composition and an electronic component, satisfying good characteristics even when electric field intensity applied to a dielectric layer is increased and when the number of the layered dielectric ceramic capacitor is increased. SOLUTION : A dielectric ceramic composition comprises : a main component that has a perovskite crystalline structure shown in general formula of ABO3, wherein A is at least one selected from the group comprising Ba, Ca, and Sr, and B is at least one selected from the group comprising Ti and Zr; and an additive that contains at least rare-earth compound. The ceramic composition further has : dielectric particles having a core-shell structure; and segregating particles. In the segregating particles, the concentration of the rare-earth compound is twice or more larger than the average concentration of the rare-earth compound in a shell part of the dielectric particles having the core-shell structure; the area the segregating particles cover is 0.1 to 1.1%. Assuming that the maximum particle diameter of the segregating particles is rbmax, the minimum particles diameter thereof is rbmin, and the average particle diameter of the dielectric particles having the core-shell structure is ra, the followings are satisfied : rbmax/ra≤2.00 and rbmin/ra≥0.25.
