The invention relates to a device (10) hybrid fiber amplifier adapted to amplify an input signal pulse (s) and having a signal wavelength (Ao) between 1 and 2.5 µm comprising : -a fiber coupler (fc) configured to inject into a same fibre the input signal (s) and a pump signal (WT) having a wavelength of (λp) pump, -a (fa) amplifying optical fiber doped with a rare earth ion, configured to amplify the input optical signal (s) to output an amplified first signal (SA1) and a residual pump signal (Pr), -an amplifier (CA) crystal doped with the rare earth ion and configured to amplify the first amplified signal (SA1) to generate a second amplified signal (SA2), -an optical adapter (OA) disposed between an output end of the amplifying fiber (fa) and the amplifying crystal (CA), configured to adapt the first amplified signal (SA1) and the residual pump signal at amplifier (PR) crystal (CA).
