PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a pneumatic tire that has a tread manufactured by using a predetermined rubber composition and that is significantly improved in wear resistance while maintaining good wet grip performance and durability.
SOLUTION : The pneumatic tire has a tread manufactured by using the following rubber composition. The rubber composition comprises : an oil-extended butadiene rubber having 95 mol% or more of a cis content, 1 mol% or less of a vinyl content, and a weight average molecular weight of 530000 or more; an isoprene diene rubber and/or a styrene butadiene rubber; carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 110 to 200 m2/g; and stearic acid. The oil-extended butadiene rubber is a butadiene rubber synthesized by the use of a rare earth element catalyst. In 100 mass% of the total rubber solid content, the content of the butadiene rubber included in the oil-extended butadiene rubber is 8 to 65 mass%, and the content of the isoprene diene rubber and/or the styrene butadiene rubber is 20 to 85 mass%. With respect to 100 parts by mass of the total rubber solid content, the content of the carbon black is 20 to 100 parts by mass, and the content of the stearic acid is 1.5 to 2.99 parts by mass. A compounded amount of process oil is 9 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the total rubber solid content.
