PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fluophor that has an excellent light emitting property. SOLUTION : Provided is a fluophor composition that contains an element M that is at least one selected from the group consisting of rare earth elements other than cerium, a silicon, and a nitrogen in the composition, and contains a nitride fluophor that is activated by cerium, and an element M-containing acid fluoride. The percentage content of acid fluoride in the fluophor composition is 1.5 mass% or more and 10 mass% or less in the reference intensity ratio method of the X-ray diffraction method.
