The self-cleanable, optically transparent glass (4) comprises an internal face (5) directed towards a closed furnace (6) of a chimney (3) and an external face directed towards exterior of a combustion heater (1) having a glass wall (2), a thermal insulating barrier that reduces the quantity of heat traversing towards outside the glass to increase the temperature of the glass during combustion, and an oxidation catalyst that decreases the ignition temperature inside the glass. The insulating barrier limits the transmission of heat through the glass. The insulating barrier limits the transmission of heat through the glass, reflects infrared rays towards the internal face of the glass, and is produced in the form of a double glazing or glass panels separated by a movable air strip, a layer, a deposit or a coating situated along the thickness of the glass. The oxidation catalyst contains rare earth elements and group VIII elements.
