The method for producing modified trichromatic sources of white light makes it possible to increase the quality of colour rendering and to increase the effectiveness of the light source by means of applying a suspension of phosphor, excited by blue light, in a curable, optically transmissive photoresistant and heat-resistant polymer to an RGB triad. It is proposed to use, as phosphors applied to the surface of the trichromatic source of white light, cerium-activated phosphors of the stoichiometric garnet family Ln3Al5O12, where Ln is yttrium or, together therewith, one or more rare earth elements. In addition to these phosphors, it is possible to use nonstoichiometric compositions with excess oxides of the lanthanide group or of aluminium oxide, as well as europium-activated silicate phosphors on the basis of complex alkaline earth metal oxides.
