The present invention relates to a deterioration detecting device which is equipped with a photodetector for the region of visible rays detecting the light-intensity of visible rays, receives visible rays irradiated with ultraviolet rays from an ultraviolet lamp formed by sealing mercury and inert gas by the photodetector, and detects the light-intensity thereof. When the amount of the mercury is reduced by the deterioration of the lamp, the luminescence intensity of visible rays is increased since the energy of the inert gas is consumed more for the luminescence of visible rays. Accordingly, for example, the present invention is able to detect the deterioration of the lamp by deciding whether the intensity of detected visible rays exceeds the threshold value or not. The present invention is able to properly detect the deterioration of the ultraviolet lamp without a high-priced ultraviolet sensor by detecting the increase of violet rays accompanied by the decreased effective mercury content with a low-priced visible ray sensor, and is able to properly inform the necessity of lamp replacement according to the degradation of the radiation amount of ultraviolet rays.(10) Control part(AA, BB, CC, DD) Visible rays(EE) Ultraviolet raysCOPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
