Provided is a compound related to perovskite, which has a novel layer structure. The compound related to perovskite has a layer structure in which a perovskite unit and an A-rare-earth structure unit are laminated. Irreducible lattice integers ar-cr and α r-γ r and an irreducible lattice volume Vr are within the range of the following : ar=6.05± 0.6Å , br=8.26± 0.8Å , cr=9.10± 0.9Å , α r=103.4± 10Å , β r=90± 10Å , γ r=90± 10Å , Vr=442.37± 67Å ^3. At least one of the irreducible lattice integers ar-cr may be m/n times of the determined value. Here, m and n are independently natural numbers, square roots of 2 or 3, or quintessential multiples.
