The present invention relates to a red phosphor with high luminance efficiency and a manufacturing method thereof and provides an oxide phosphor represented by general formula (1). In the general formula (1), A is at least one selected from yttrium (Gd) and yttrium (Y). B is at least one alkali metal ion selected from lithium (Li), sodium (Na), and potassium (K). C is at least one transition metal selected from ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), palladium (Pd), and silver (Ag) or at least one rare-earth element selected from praseodymium (Pr), terbium (Tb), erbium (Er), and thulium (Tm).
