PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnetic material having excellent coercive force through simple manufacture.
SOLUTION : A magnetic material is produced by : mixing magnetic powder which contains samarium-iron-boron magnet powder and neodymium-iron-boron magnetic powder, and amorphous metal which contains a rare earth element, iron and boron, has an atomic ratio of the rare earth element in the range of 22-44 atomic%, and has an atomic ratio of boron in the range of 6-28 atomic%; and heating the mixture at a temperature equal to or above a temperature 30°C lower than the crystallization temperature (Tx) of the amorphous metal, or, when the amorphous metal is metallic glass, at a temperature equal to or above a temperature 15°C lower than the glass transition temperature (Tg). The magnetic material is capable of securing high magnetic characteristics through simple manufacture.
