PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a hard coat structure having an ultraviolet ray shielding function by suppressing weak photocatalytic effect of an amorphous TiO2 film, and also having excellent adhesiveness to a base material.
SOLUTION : Generated electrons and holes are immediately recombined for suppressing the photocatalytic effect of amorphous TiO2. For this purpose, rare earth element is added to an amorphous TiO2 film 2 on a base material 1, or rare earth element 6 is disposed on an interface between the amorphous TiO2 film 2 and the base material 1. Thus, the rare earth element emits fluorescence by energy generated by the absorption of ultraviolet ray by the amorphous TiO2 film 2, and thus, the holes of the amorphous TiO2 film 2 and the electrons are immediately recombined to suppress the photocatalytic effect.
