PURPOSE : A cosmetic composition containing extracts of Eclipta prostrate, Hovenia dulcis thunb, and wheat bud is provided to remove age spots and freckles and to suppress malanosome migration and tyrosinase. CONSTITUTION : A cosmetic composition for removing melasma, age spots, and freckles or promoting keratin peeling contains an Eclipta prostrate extract and a wheat bud extract as an active ingredient, mixed in a weight ratio of 1-10 : 1-10. A cosmetic composition for promoting keratin peeling or whitening contains the Eclipta prostrate extract, wheat bud extract, and niacinamide as an active ingredient. The cosmetic composition contains extracts of Eclipta prostrate, Hovenia dulcis thumb, and wheat buds, and niacinamide as an active ingredient. The cosmetic composition is manufactured in the form of a cream, a skin softener, an astringent, a milk lotion, a foundation, a soap, or a cleansing foam.
