PURPOSE : A solar cell is provided to improve the efficiency of the solar cell by including a protection member which includes a protection material and a wavelength conversion material.CONSTITUTION : A photoelectric member (110) converts incident light into a current. A protection member (120) is located on the lower side of the photoelectric member. The protection member includes a protection material to protect the photoelectric member and a wavelength conversion material to convert the wavelength of the incident light via the photoelectric member. The wavelength conversion material includes at least one of a rare-earth element, a transition metal ion, and a quantum dot.
