PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a touch panel sensor having a structure to efficiently use rare metal resources, such as indium, and a method of producing the touch panel sensor. SOLUTION : A matrix type electrode substrate for touch panel sensor includes a substrate 1, and first and second transparent electrodes 2 and 4 patterned on the substrate 1. Out of these, the second transparent electrode 4 is mutually connected to the first transparent electrode 2 by a connecting conductor 8 provided via a first insulating layer 7 provided on the first transparent electrode 2.
