A method for preparing a high-coercivity SmCoFeCuZr high-temperature permanent magnet by doping nano Cu powder belongs to the technical field of preparation of rare-earth permanent magnet materials. First, a SmCoFeCuZr alloy ingot is smelted by using a conventional powder metallurgy method and is then prepared into micron-level alloy powder, further commercially available nano Cu powder and the SmCoFeCuZr alloy powder are mixed uniformly in proportion, and then a 2 : 17 type SmCo sintered magnet is obtained through sintering and aging processing. As the doped nano Cu powder is uniformly distributed in the sintered magnet, the room temperature and high-temperature coercivity of the magnet can be increased significantly. The coercivity of the sintered magnet is significantly increased, the room temperature coercivity increases by 2 to 2.5 times, and at 500°C, the coercivity and the magnetic energy product of the nano Cu powder doped magnet are apparently higher than those of the undoped magnet. Therefore, the prepared nano Cu powder doped magnet can be desirably used in a high temperature environment.
