PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a target for superconductive film formation, capable of forming a target for superconductive film formation with reduced steps and without causing cracking, a target for superconductive film formation produced by the method, and a method for producing an oxide superconductive conductor using the target for superconductive film formation. SOLUTION : The method for producing the target for superconductive film formation including an RE oxide superconductive sintered body represented by general formula RE1Ba2Cu3Oy includes : a molding step of molding a mixture including an RE compound, a Ba compound and a Cu compound into a molded product having a density of 40-81%; a first heating step of heating the molded product in a temperature range of 800-900°C; and a second heating step of heating, after the first heating step, the molded product in a temperature range of 900-1, 200°C.
