Provided is a nano-sulphur composite positive pole material for a rare earth lithium sulphur battery and a method for preparing same. The positive pole material consists of carbon nanotubes, sublimed sulphur, and rare earth yttrium oxide in a weight ratio of 1 - 2 : 5 : 0.67 - 0.78. The preparation method comprises the steps of : weighing carbon nanotubes and sublimed sulphur in a weight ratio; ball-milling them in the presence of alcohol; drying; placing the dried mixture of carbon nanotubes and sublimed sulphur in a negative pressure of -0.1 to -0.5 atmos, carrying out a first calcination treatment at 200°C-300°C for ≥5 hours, to obtain carbon nanotube composite material clad with fused sulphur; grinding the obtained composite material in a grinding machine at a high speed in the presence of alcohol until the particle size of the carbon nanotube composite material is ≤1 micron; drying; under conditions of flowing argon gas, carrying out a second calcination treatment at 300°C-400°C for ≥5 hours, to obtain carbon nanotube-sulphur composite material; doping the carbon nanotube-sulphur composite material with rare-earth yttrium oxide in a ratio of 9 : 1, and carrying out jet milling and fractioning, so as to obtain nano-sulphur composite positive pole material for a rare earth lithium sulphur battery having a size of ≤1 micron.
