The invention relates to a chemical method for preparing alkali ferrates and alkaline-earth ferrates, optionally stabilised, via iron oxide reaction or iron salts reaction in a concentrated potassium hydroxide, caustic sodium solution medium, with hydrogen peroxide, potassium peroxide or sodium peroxide, and stabilisers such as silicon or aluminium. The invention also relates to the ferrates obtained by said method.
