PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a seawater desalination plant stably generating electric power necessary for desalination of seawater, and operating by the power. SOLUTION : This seawater desalination plant includes : a heat exchange/power generation part making heat be exchanged between a heat medium and seawater having a temperature lower than the heat medium to heat and evaporate the seawater, and generating the power by a temperature difference between the heat medium and the seawater; a distillation part condensing water vapor thereof to generate fresh water; a heat collection device collecting solar heat to heat the heat medium; a heat storage tank storing the heat of the heat medium in the earth; a first pump supplying the heat medium heated by the heat of the heat storage tank to a high temperature side of the heat exchange/power generation part; and a second pump supplying the seawater to a low temperature side of the heat exchange/power generation part.
