PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor which is excellent in life characteristic in high-temperature load test with reduced DC bias characteristics while securing high dielectric constant and temperature change of electrostatic capacity satisfying X7R characteristics of the EIA standard. ?SOLUTION : A dielectric ceramic constituting a dielectric layer 5 contains, based on 100 moles of barium constituting barium titanate, 0.4-1.8 mole of one rare earth element (RE) selected from yttrium, dysprosium, holmium and erbium in terms of RE2O3and 0-0.30 mole of vanadium in terms of V2O5. Further, a crystal particle 9 constituting the dielectric ceramic has an inner core 9a occupying the center part and an outer shell 9b surrounding the inner core 9a, in which the mole ratio of barium to titanium Ba/Ti in the inner core 9a is 0.98-1.10, the mole ratio of barium to titanium Ba/Ti in the outer shell 9b is 0.9-0.97, and the average particle size is 0.18-0.27 μm. ?COPYRIGHT : (C)2011, JPO&INPIT ?
