PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a composition containing polylactic acid that has good hue. ŽSOLUTION : The composition containing polylactic acid is obtained by melt ring-opening polymerization under specific condition, using a metal compound as a catalyst containing at least one metal selected from tin, aluminum, zinc, calcium, titanium, germanium, manganese, magnesium, and rare earth elements, under coexistence of lactide and a specific phosphorous acid compound.
