PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth permanent magnet and a manufacturing method of the same, capable of preventing degradation of magnet characteristics. SOLUTION : A mixture is produced by mixing a magnet powder, formed by pulverizing a magnet raw material, and a binder, composed of polyisobutylene, polyisoprene, polybutadiene, polystyrene, a copolymer of styrene and isoprene, a copolymer of isobutylene and isoprene, or a copolymer of styrene and butadiene. The produced mixture is formed into a sheet-shape, so that a green sheet is manufactured. Then, by holding the manufactured green sheet under non-oxidation atmosphere at a binder decomposition temperature for a certain time, the binder is decomposed into monomer by depolymerization reaction and the like, scattered, and removed. Then, the green sheet, from which the binder is removed, is sintered by increasing the temperature to a calcining temperature, and thereby a permanent magnet 1 is manufactured.
