PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To improve remanent magnetic flux density by improving the density of a sintered body in a sintered ferrite magnet, which is manufactured by using a dry molding method which is low cost to carryout but hard to obtain good characteristics. SOLUTION : This sintered magnet comprises, as main components, A, R, Fe and M, where A is selected from among Sr, Ba and Pb while positively including Sr, R is selected from Y, rare earth elements and Bi while positively including La, and M includes Co or, Co and Zn. When the main component A is represented by formula A1-xRx(Fe12-yMy)zO19, it results in that 0.04<=x<=0.45, 0.40<=y<=0.3, 0.9<=x/y<=1.5, 0.95<=z<=1.05. Furthermore, the magnet comprises, as subcomponents, SiO2 and CaO, and the ratio of the subcomponents with respect to the main components is 0.42 to 0.84 wt.%, while the molar ratio of Ca/Si is in the range of 1.3 to 2.2.
