The invention relates to a luminescent material composition for a low-pressure discharge lamp, wherein the luminescent material composition comprises one or a plurality of halophosphate luminescent materials and one or a plurality of rare earth luminescent materials in a weight ratio of approximately 4 : 1 to approximately 1 : 2, and to a low-pressure discharge lamp containing said luminescent material composition.
