PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a wave absorber including a core-shell magnetic material having excellent characteristics in a high frequency band, specifically in a GHz band. SOLUTION : The wave absorber includes a core shell magnetic material. The core shell magnetic material includes : a core shell magnetic particle that includes a magnetic metal particle and a coating layer coating at least a part of a surface of the magnetic metal particle, the magnetic metal particle including at least one magnetic metal selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni, and the coating layer comprising an oxide, nitride or carbide which includes at least one of the magnetic metal of a component of the magnetic metal particle and at least one nonmagnetic metal selected from among Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Zr, Ti, Hf, Zn, Mn, a rare earth element, Ba and Sr; and an oxide particle, nitride particle or carbide particle which exists at at least a part between the magnetic metal particles and includes at least one nonmagnetic metal selected from among Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Zr, Ti, Hf, Zn, Mn, a rare earth element, Ba and Sr. COPYRIGHT : (C)2013, JPO&INPIT
