Method of manufacturing dielectric ceramics

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric ceramic which is excellent in dielectric characteristics with a dielectric constant of ≥95 and is obtained by a combustion synthesis method, and a method of producing the same. SOLUTION : The dielectric ceramic contains at least Ca, Ti, O and Re (rare-earth element) as constituent elements, is represented by a molar compositional ratio of CaO : (26-x), SrO : x, Re2O3 : 8 and TiO2 : y (wherein x and y satisfy relations : 0≤x≤26 and 40≤y≤60, respectively) and is obtained by compounding the respective powders of reaction raw materials at least comprising a Ti powder having 0.01 to 2 m2/g specific surface area, an ionically bonding material serving as an oxygen supply source, TiO2, CaCO3, SrCO3and Re2O3in a ratio giving the molar compositional ratio of the dielectric ceramic and carrying out a combustion synthesis method at an adiabatic flame temperature of ≥1, 500°C.
