PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To improve the high temperature strength of a heat resistant alloy by finely producing the oxide of a rare earth element(s) since there has been a problem that high temperature strength is low in the conventional heat resistant titanium alloy, thus its long time use at high temperature has been difficult. SOLUTION : The heat resistant titanium alloy has excellent ductility at room temperature, and exhibits high strength in the temperature range of 650 to 800°C. Concretely, the titanium alloy comprises Al of 5 to 10 mass%, one or more kinds selected from Sn and Zr of 0.1 to 10 mass%, one or more kinds selected from Mo and V of 0.1 to 5 mass%, Sc of 0.01 to 5 mass%, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. Further, by using an α phase having excellent high temperature strength as the main by solid solution strengthening, more causing strengthening by Sc2O3 and an α2-Ti3Al compound, and by introducing a β having excellent workability in ≤5%, the heat resistant titanium alloy in which room temperature ductility and high temperature strength are well-balanced can be provided.
