PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a cemented carbide which reduces abrasion generated when in use as a tool, fixing of a workpiece to a cemented carbide tool by burning, or damage of the carbide tool, and prolongs the service life of the carbide tool. SOLUTION : The cemented carbide has a binder phase including iron-based metals as a main component of 3-30 wt.% and a hard phase comprising tungsten carbide (WC), and the oxide including at least one oxide of rare earth (including Sc, Y) is dispersed in the binder metal.
