PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide stainless steel products including favorable heat resistant insulating coating formed without formation of a coating film, which is excellent in insulation property and can be produced industrially at a relatively low cost.
SOLUTION : In the stainless steel products, stainless steel is used as a base material, and a mixture layer comprising NiO and NiFe2O4 and having a thickness of 1.0 μm or thicker is formed on a surface of the base material via an Al oxide layer. The stainless steel includes, in mass%, 0.0001-0.15% of C, 0.001-1.2% of Si, 0.001-2.0% of Mn, 0.001-0.05% of P, 0.0005-0.03% of S, 0-2.0% of Ni, 0-1.0% of Cu, 11.0-32.0% of Cr, 0-3.0% of Mo, 1.0-6.0% of Al, 0-1.0% of Nb, 0-1.0% of Ti, 0-0.025% of N, 0-0.01% of B, 0-0.5% of V, 0-0.3% of W, and 0-0.1% of the total of Ca, Mg, Y and REM (rare earth element), with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities.
