PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a biaxial oriented thin film for an oxide super-conducting wire capable of shortening the manufacturing time and reducing the manufacturing cost due to the high film deposition rate, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION : In the biaxial oriented thin film for the oxide super-conducting wire, an intermediate layer 20 (a thin film) is layered on a base material 10, and a rare earth oxide super-conducting layer 30 is layered on the intermediate layer 20. The biaxial oriented thin film is formed of an oxide of a scheelite structure having the biaxial orientation. The thin film having the biaxial orientation to be layered on the base material 10 is layered by the ion beam assist vapor deposition method. The intermediate layer 20 is formed of one of YNbO4and GdNbO4having the scheelite structure. COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT
