PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide rare earth-iron garnet particles favorable in both magnetic properties and particle size distribution. SOLUTION : The particle includes the rare earth-iron garnet, and is characterized in that : an average particle size is 0.005-5 μm; the value of saturation magnetization level is 0.5-30 A×m2/kg; a coercive force is 2-16 kA/m; and the fluctuation coefficient of particle size distribution is in the range of 0.05-0.5.
