PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a simplified earth-retaining fence capable of preventing sediment outflow and muddy water outflow from a soil dump yard, and of being inexpensively constructed in a short period. SOLUTION : A simplified earth-retaining fence 1 which is installed on a water bottom for preventing sediment and muddy water charged into the soil dump yard A from outflowing to the outside of the soil dump yard A, includes a supporting structure 2 to be erected on a water bottom ground B along the outer periphery of the soil dump yard A, an earth-retaining plate material 3 to be supported by the supporting structure 2 in the state that its surface is directed to the side of the soil dump yard, and a muddy water diffusion preventing sheet 15 to be disposed on the surface side of the earth-retaining plate material 3. The lower side part of the earth-retaining plate material 3 is embedded in the water bottom ground B, and the muddy water diffusion preventing sheet 15 is developed over the upper and lower sides of a water surface.
