FIELD : metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE : application of magnesium based alloy and a medical device made of it. The alloy contains, wt % : indium and/or gallium in the total amount from 0.1 to 4, scandium and/or gadolinium in a total amount from 0.1 to 15.0, yttrium from 0.1 to 3.0, rare earth metals in the total amount of 0.1 to 3.0, one or more of the following elements : zirconium, hafnium and titanium, in the total amount of 0.1 to 0.7, magnesium and impurities are the rest. The alloy was obtained with the use of magnesium with a purity degree of greater than or equal to 99.98 wt %. The device or part of is an endoprosthesis, a screw, a bolt, a bracket, a tubular mesh, a stent, a coil, a marker, a catheter.
EFFECT : alloys have excellent moulding properties at room temperature, high corrosion resistance in sodium chloride solution, excellent heat resistance.
