PURPOSE : A portable terminal and location confirmation method thereof are provided to enable a user to accurately grasp the location of a portable terminal by using a GPS(Global Positioning Service) coordinate and adjacent environment. CONSTITUTION : A GPS module(70) acquires GPS coordinate information. A camera unit(60) is installed at the rare side or the front side of a portable terminal in order to capture images. In case inputted password is not matched with the preset password, a control unit(10) captures the images by operating the camera unit. The control unit controls the current GPS coordinate of the GPS module in order to transmit the image to the preset e-mail address. COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
